Kalooki is a classical form of Gin Rummy which can be enjoyed online. The best part about online Kalooki is that it uses wild cards. It is normally played with 2-4 players. In this game, 13 cards are dealt to players playing the game, whatever might be the number of players. The aim of the game is to get rid of all the cards by melding them into sets or runs. When 3-4 cards are of the same value, it is called a set. On the other hand, a run would have 3 or more than 3 cards of the same suit in it.
Kalooki begins online, when a player chooses a card, from the stick or discard piles. In return the player will have to discard a card from their hand. Players can add matching cards to the melds which are laid on the table from the previous rounds (by them or other players). This process is known as building. Players can add to the melds by adding a corresponding card of the 4th suit to a 3-card set. One thing to remember in online Kalooki, in case a card set contains a joker, the players is not allowed repeated suits. The player can add matching consecutive cards to either end or a run. The player also has the option of using the Joker as a substitute for any card. This will help in acquiring the value of the card it represents.
A round of Kalooki can be won in two ways online - Hunt and Going Out. Hunt would involve, where a player can meld all the cards, by laying the cards down on the table at once and at the same discarding the last card onto the discard pile. The player should have no un matching cards remaining. Going Out option is used when a player melds all the cards, laying them down on the table gradually with the last card onto the discard pile.
