The Joker card is the best thing in the great Kalooki game; this is the option that delivers all the Gin Rummy players to play Online Kalooki and Kalooki 51 and Kalooki 40.
The Joker is used in any Set or any Run. The Joker substitute any missing card or cards on the table. The Joker substitutes the card and takes its value on the Run or on the Set. If you don’t use the Joker during the game and you are not the Kalooki 51 and Kalooki 40 winner, your penalty will be 25 points for keeping the Joker in hands.
Each Kalooki 51 and Kalooki 40 player gets 13 cards to begin with. Like other card games, the remaining cards are part of the card game as well. The remaining cards are all become the main pile in the center of the table, face down. Only one card is face up, for the end of the game. You can draw it only at your last turn.
The Kalooki 51 and Kalooki 40
Each player at his turn has to do three steps. These are the three steps like in all Rummy games, when you play Kalooki online it’s the same.
1. Draw a card from the main pile, face down card or from the discards pile, and face up card. This is your new card for the turn; you should use it in your melding efforts. Remember all the Kalooki advantages and disadvantages for taking face up and face down cards.
2. Use the card at your sets and runs. If you are about to lay the cards on the table, you can use the new card to make new Sets and new Runs. You can use the card to upgrade your melds and make them bigger and stronger. Remember that you need 51 to start with, this is the Kalooki 51 and Kalooki 40 .
3. After the turn is over all you have to do is to discard one card from your hand. You don’t need this card, you want your opponents to think you don’t need it, you don’t want to have it in your hands because it’s too big or some other idea’s. After you discard this card, your turn is over.

Build the Sets and Runs is the heart of the Kalooki game
After you laid down your meld, you can add cards from your hands to any melds on the table. This is the hart of the Kalooki game and it’s the same with Kalooki 40 as well. You are a builder now and you can “play” with all the Sets and Runs on the table in order to get rid of all your cards. Make sure you know which cards you meld, where and when. You want to make the best from the building options and to win the Kalooki round.
The best card here is off course the Joker that you might have in your hands. The joker card can replace any other card ( like in all card games ) and can be used for your best. Use it smartly because your opponents can take it from the table and win the game and they can let you keep it and you will be in troubles with penalty points.
Kalooki Going Out
The Kalooki game is end when we have a winner. If one of the opponents melds all his cards but one and than he discards it, he won. This player is taking the prize because he got rid of all his cards, and he is the first to do so. In Rummy terms, this Kalooki player went out
Going Kalooki
Another option to finish the Kalooki game is to Go Kalooki. When the winning player is laying down all his cards in one move, he went Kalooki. The player won with no builders moves, no Sets and Runs to work on, all the cards in one meld- on the table. This move is hard to get and only the best Kalooki players can do it. This is why the other players on the kalooki table will get higher penalty points.
